Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority
The Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority is the delivery arm of the State Government’s planning portfolio.
There are three main legislative tools defining and guiding our operations:
The Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority Act 2011, which outlines our responsibilities and gives us strong legislative backing to plan, undertake, promote, coordinate and control the redevelopment of land in our project areas.
The Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority Regulations 2011, which explain matters prescribed in the Act such as fees, the required information for development applications and activities that do not require development approval.
Redevelopment Schemes, which establish the redevelopment area, define the use of the land and enable the preparation of other statutory planning documents.
